Happy New Year!
As the old year ends it's tempting to review all the discoveries and achivements we've made as
genealogist and as a Society, Sorry, to disappoint, but I'll sum it up as being "Good".
Looking forward inot 2023. I hope you will set aside just a little time to either work ona
genealogy project of your own, or help out with one of the class projects - or BOTH?


LOOK-UPS and RESEARCH

45-year-old non-profit Lake County Genealogical Society maintains a Research Library of local families, along with other documents and is seeking a The permanent home in Lakeport so the public a can access the collection. Lakeport Library will be closed for Martin Luther King Holiday.
We will be meeting at the Lake County Museum (255 N. Main St., Lakeport at 2 p.m.
We will be viewing the exhibit "Between the Pages: Prespective of Lake County History from its Family Bibles". Discussion will follow.
Optional Homework: If you have any Bible pages that include Lake County family information please feel free to bring a copy of the page(s) and a pedigree/family group sheet to show how you are related to them.

The fourth Saturday of the month is specifically set aside for Special Interest Group (SIG) researching our German Ancestors.

Ancestral Writing Group
January, we will be working on the latest/rewrite project. Deadline is January 29th with Zoom on February 5th. Talk about interesting stories! I want to encourage you to join us in sharing your written family history. We have gently helped each other polish our stories and had quite a bit of fun in the meanwhile.
